Vehicle Inspectors are required in Chelmsford. You will be required to inspect (cosmetically) end of lease and fleet vehicles in a variety of locations throughout your preferred area.
Forde Automotive work with various Vehicle Logistics, Vehicle Remarketing and Fleet Management companies in the area and they are looking for Vehicle Inspectors to join them on a Permanent basis. You will be working with a variety of new and nearly new cars and must be able to complete all aspects of quality control including inspection of body work, identifying damage on all vehicle types and recommend repair methods.
JOB ROLE:
Responsible for collecting and delivering vehicles to the correct destination
To be central point of contact for the drivers
Carry out inspections on vehicles, including scheduling of work and appraisals
Plan and co-ordinate daily workload, taking into account geography and resources available
Identify image damage on all vehicle types
Recommend repair methods for damage and accurately estimate cost
Interact with customers professionally and provide information regarding inspections
Provide vehicle information to support the process in a timely manner
Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
Ensure communications are accurate, inclusive and timely
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of vehicle repair methods
Good logistical planning skills
Ability to confidently discuss inspection results and repair decisions
Technical vehicle inspection knowledge
Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadline
Basic mechanical knowledge
PC literate - including hand-held devices
Ability to work under self-management
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Good organisation skills
Self-motivated
Full UK Driving licence
The successful Vehicle Inspectors will ideally have experience in vehicle appraisal, have the ability to adapt in a fluid marketplace and must bring a 'can-do' attitude. You will have the ability to investigate and analyse issues objectively, making sound decisions that maximise opportunities.
A keen eye is required and you MUST have motor industry experience; quality control, bodyshop or vehicle inspection. It would be desirable if you had knowledge of BVRLA fair wear and tear standard.
