Role Responsibilities:
Working as a Commericial and Residential Property Solicitor within a dynamic firm in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated candidate who is looking for a challenging new role in working with key members of the firm.
You will be responsible for your own caseload and providing an efficient client service and have at least two years of post-qualification experience.

Knowledge/skills/attributes:
3+ years PQE in handling a full range of conveyancing files from inception to completion
A sound technical knowledge of all conveyancing matters
Experience of managing a team is desirable
Able to evidence ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
Able to evidence a strong understanding of all elements of the conveyancing process from initial instructions to completion
Strong communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Experienced user of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills
Team player but self-motivated and able to work autonomously

Job Role:
Managing and building a varied and busy caseload
Meeting with clients and taking instructions
Obtaining or checking Land Registry documents or title deeds
Proactively dealing with client queries via email or telephone
Seeking to protect clients' interests at all times, while taking precautions against potential fraud and money laundering
Carrying out and checking pre-contract searches by checking whether the property is affected by local authority proposals, leases, easements or covenants, mortgages, land tax, susceptibility to flooding or subsidence, or liability for unsound building structures and repairs
Sending terms of engagement and estimates of fees and disbursements
Exchanging contracts and completing the transaction
Dealing with all financial aspects of a transaction
Preparing transfer and mortgage deeds
Receiving and checking mortgage instructions from lenders
Receiving mortgage funds;
Paying stamp taxes and dealing with the registration of client and lender with the Land Registry
Drafting and negotiating leases and licences (and supporting contractual documents), for new premises and renewals, for a range of premises
Time-recording

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Non-negotiable skills:
