MORELIGHT MANUFACTURE
Unit Lean Set-Up Coordinator
Up to £35,000 + Benefits
Street, Somerset
Cutting-edge technology, 21st century craftsmanship, shoemaking innovation – you’ll find it all here in Street, where our brand new Morelight Manufacture production unit will open in early 2018.
And we need a whole new team to get our first manufacturing unit off to a brilliant start.
The role
We’re lean thinking and we need you to help bring that thinking to life. You’ll influence how the shoes we produce are engineered to ensure we’re making the best use of our machinery and technology and to achieve maximum efficiency. You’ll be best placed to do that because you’ll understand how to create the best patterns for the machines and technology we have, you’ll evaluate the tools and programs we use in production, and you’ll work closely with our Production Team Leader on how production needs to flow for every shoe we make.
A bit about you
You understand lean manufacturing principles as well as shoe patterns, labour content calculations and line balance. Ideally you’ve also worked with orisol machines. You’ve got IT skills that include PowerPoint, Excel and Word. And you’ll need good communication skills as well as great attention to detail.
The benefits
As well as development opportunities and competitive pay, you’ll enjoy benefits such as 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) and, as everyone loves new shoes, a healthy discount on Clarks products.
We love hearing from great people.
