Cutting-edge technology, 21^st century craftsmanship, shoemaking innovation – you’ll find it all here in Street, where our brand new Morelight Manufacture production unit will open in early 2018.

And we need a whole new team to get our first manufacturing unit off to a brilliant start.

The role

In this role you’ll supervise our production processes, activities and flow; you’ll be monitoring everything from cutting, to the shoes being packed and made ready for shipment.  You’ll ensure that all of our production targets, including those associated with the quality of the shoes we make, are achieved.

And you’ll do all of this whilst role-modelling leadership excellence; your team will be engaged, productive and motivated.  You’ll constantly look for ways to improve and develop not just our processes but our people too.

We’ll need you in role from the start of January 2018 and, because you’ll receive full training when you start, we’ll need you to be available from 8.30am to 4.30pm for the first two to four weeks.  After that you’ll move in to our normal shift pattern of 6am to 2pm.  If these hours don’t work for you right now, please keep checking www.clarksjobs.com/manufacturing as we’ll be looking to add another shift later next year.

A bit about you

You’ve led a motivated and successful team previously - ideally on shoe production lines, and certainly you have a background in footwear as well as exposure to manufacturing.  Your previous supervisory experience means you’ve developed others, nurtured good interpersonal relationships and communicated at all levels of an organisation.

You’re commercially minded, customer focused and results driven.  You demonstrate previous experience of continuous improvement and achieving challenging targets.  And you’ve got some experience of using IT for analysing and interpreting data as well as for email and Excel spreadsheets.
