Job Title: External Marketing & Communications Specialist

Location: London

Job Type: Full Time, 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: Up to £27,000 dependant on experience

Reports To: Head of Communications

Purpose

Act as a marketing and communications specialist for a busy communications team. The role is to be the primary liaison for one of the key clients. In addition, you will be coordinating the development and production of materials, organising client events and vendor management.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the development and production of materials using 3rd party design and production vendors
  • Coordinate client events including employer and member forums
  • Manage the production of member reporting
  • Act as client liaison
  • Assist in the management and update of client and corporate websites
  • Assist in the management of CRM lists and bulk email programmes

Person Specification

The role holder will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Degree in a marketing or communications discipline, or marketing qualification (eg CIM)
  • 3 years marketing experience, preferably in pensions or similar industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills - able to engage with staff at many levels
  • Effective time management is essential to manage allocation of work
  • A self- starter with a strong understanding of marketing and communications disciplines
  • Creative thinker with a desire to learn new skills
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders
  • Strong understanding and experience of MS Office suite with knowledge of Adobe creative suite
  • A confident yet approachable style. The ability to resolve issues in an appropriate manner
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships, and work flexibly across professional and operational boundaries
  • Pro-active attitude and willing to take responsibility for tasks
  • Flexibility to work across several tasks with conflicting priorities
  • Experience of the breadth of the diversity agenda including embedding good practice and an understanding of our client's and the public sector's commitment to combating discrimination and promoting equality of opportunity
