We need your help to manage our engineering capital projects in accordance with Barnard Castle and GSK processes. We'd like you to work with customers to understand and confirm the business need for investment. We'd like you to be our Project Manager, join our team and bring your skills and experience which include:
• A degree level qualification in an engineering discipline
• Previous experience as a professional engineer
• Experience managing project teams who deliver capital projects on time and within budget.
• A mix of technical and business understanding to identify the appropriate solutions to meet business needs

Length of programme: 12 months (flexible start date from November 2017 onwards)

The "Barney" site is a key member of the Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) organisation and produce some of the world's leading dermatological, sterile, inhaled and oral medicines for a wide range of diseases including MRSA, leukaemia and HIV. You will be the engineering customer for the sterile and inhalation business unit (SIBU) small-scale project activities.
Who are we looking for?
• Your excellent skills that you have gained in delivering on capital projects with a high engineering work content
• Your technical and business understanding in identifying appropriate solutions and partnering with specialist engineering suppliers
• The leadership skills you bring to engineering capital projects and customers in understanding and confirming the need for investment
• Your ability to develop, justify and document (PIP documentation) technical solutions that fit with the customer need and business case
• Your great communication skills which are impactful and influence key decision making at different levels to enable project authorisation
• Your ability to lead mixed project teams of GSK staff, consultants and contractors whilst owning the construction activities in and adjacent to operational pharmaceutical facilities, ensuring projects are completed in compliance with statutory and company Employee Health and Safety standards.
