Role and Salary: Departmental Team Manager - Salary GBP43,000-GBP52,000 (dependent on experience)
Our Stevenage based company is a young, friendly and dynamic company, first established in 2007. Since then they have been helping clients trace and claim for mis-sold PPI on forgotten credit agreements dating back to 1990.
In the past year alone they have recovered GBP47,761,283 for many thousands of very happy clients.
Authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, they are not a Claims Management Company and they are not a call centre. They never cold call and never use SMS text messaging or aggressive marketing of any kind to win new business. Nor will they ever work with marketing companies that employ such methods. A third of their new business comes from referrals made by existing clients.
Rapid growth means they now employ almost 70 full time and 30 part time staff at their modern offices in central Stevenage, 8 minutes walk from the station and 10 minutes from the town centre.
Due to their expansion plans, they are currently looking for experienced line managers to drive their teams forward to greater success.
You will be joining them at an exciting point in their journey and so you will need to show that you can meet the needs of both the business and the employees.

About You
To be successful in the role, you will need to able to demonstrate that:

You are an experienced "hands on" manager or team leader

You have gained experience from working in a regulated industry - for example, financial or legal services

You have a strategic approach to managing and overcoming problems
-
You can provide regular coaching and training to all members of your team - new and existing
-
You can act as a mentor and a role model, to both your team and others in the business, demonstrating the professionalism and integrity required of a manager in a regulated law firm
-
You are accountable for the results of you and your team, demonstrating that you can delegate effectively and prioritise workloads accordingly
-
You are aware of how to motivate your staff, using appropriate reward and recognition offerings

You will ensure that you keep and maintain strong channels of communication, eg team meetings, regular updates, etc.

You can work closely with other managers and directors in the business
To do all of this, you will need to possess:
-
Experience of working in a regulated industry - for example, financial or legal services
-
Excellent communication skills - with both staff and customers
-
Ability to work under pressure and to tight and often changing timelines

Strong motivational skills
-
Flexibility in your approach in order to meet the needs and demands of the business

Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Strong change management skills
