PK Education are currently searching for candidates interested in the following role:

Vacancy: SEN Teacher

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Start Date: November 2017

Duration: Long-term Sick Note

Rate of Pay: GBP500-GBP725 per week

School Details: A specialist school for children with severe, complex or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Many of their pupils have additional needs including autism, sensory impairment, challenging behaviour, medical and physical difficulties. The school is a provider of specialist education as well as therapy and care for children and young people aged between 11 - 19 years old. The school is rated 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted.

Role Requirements/Responsibilities: This is a temporary full-time (5 days a week) position. You will be covering for a long-term sick note and be considered a full-time member of staff during this period. You'll be the teacher for a KS4 class with challenging behaviour. You'll have 2 TA's with you in the classroom and the classroom has a dedicated 'quiet room'.

Candidate Requirements: To be considered for a role with this school candidates must have experience of providing support and teaching to pupils on the autistic spectrum or at the very least within similar SEN organisations. It is preferable that candidates have previous experience within a SEN school, as the students can express challenging behaviour that only associated with children in SEN schools. Having a 'can do' attitude and not afraid to get get your hands dirty (sometimes quite literally) is also needed.

You must have a QTS / PGCE teaching qualification within Secondary / SEN teaching. Having experience with the Autism Care plan schedules is also advantageous.
