As an apprentice you can expect a combination of practical experience gained around a leisure centre and support in gaining your apprenticeship qualification, giving you a solid foundation for an exciting career in leisure. As an apprentice, you will work towards a nationally recognised qualification in 'Activity Leadership', whilst gaining valuable experience in various areas including Pool lifeguarding, Fitness Instructing and Customer Relations. You can further specialise by qualifying as either a Fitness Class Instructor or Swim Instructor too. In addition to the apprenticeship qualification, you will gain qualifications in National Pool Lifeguarding and Pool Plant Operations.
