Electronics Engineer - PCB / FPGA / DSP design, high temperature elect

Are you an Electronics Engineer who likes to include elements of DSP inyour designs? The challenge is to take raw high frequency signals from a MEMS deviceand create a model / algorithm for the device to provide physical,electrical and gravitational information. The existing team has broughton the project to a stage where it needs your commercial experience toassist in the areas where you are strongest. There is flexibility howyou split the work between you the existing hardware/DSP engineer. Thecompany has started field trails but there is still significant designwork to complete. As an Electronics Engineer with an excellent technical degree from aworld-leading university, you will also be able to offer commercialexperience in the following areas: Familiarity with designing signal processing algorithms Board-level mixed signal electronics design Design experience of low-noise electronics design, assembly,packaging and test PCB prototyping and debugging In addition any of the following would be beneficial: Understanding the impact of high-temperature environments onelectronics design Experience working with MEMS devices Engineering analysis including FMEA and DFMA Principles of FPGA hardware language design using RTL (VHDL preferred) This is an excellent opening to work in a small company where theoriginal founders are still involved at the technical level. They arecurrently utilising Cambridge University facilities with plans to moveto their own office next year. They are well funded from several sourcesincluding a major player in the oil industry and share options are beingoffered. There are opportunities to gain customer exposure from time totime with some overseas travel.
