We have a superb career opportunity that has become available in our External Relations department for a new Head of Policy and Public Affairs to join the team on a permanent basis. Your focus will be to develop, support and implement stakeholder engagement strategies in support of the University's strategic objectives. This will involve working closely with senior staff across the University to support effective co-ordination of stakeholder engagement for senior policy, alumni, political, funder, community, civic and business audiences. It will be your responsibility to co-ordinate and directly support the Vice-Chancellor's major external engagement activities, including the preparation of briefings, presentations and speeches, and will also lead on specific stakeholder engagement projects, in part through the Corporate Events Team and working closely with the Head of the President & Vice-Chancellor's Office, under the direction of the Director of External Relations., We value your feedback on the quality of our adverts. You will be able to showcase your experience of managing a range of complex projects and tasks simultaneously and have the ability to create and deliver integrated communications plans/strategies, whilst also being able to identify and exploit opportunities as they arise. It is important that you have a track record of successful delivery of public affairs programmes, and experience of dealing with national politicians and civil servants. This role would be ideal for an individual who has outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to produce and present high quality material such as papers, speeches, reports, presentations and briefings for a range of internal and external audiences.
