Commis Chef, Cambridge School, GBP16,000
At Select Hospitality Cambridge we are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Commis Chef.
The Role
* Working within a fantastic team and serving fresh, interesting and nutritious meals to students, staff & visitors, meeting the high standards set by the school at all times.
Responsibilities
* To work as part of a team preparing fresh food of a good quality to meet the high standards
* Cooking for approx. 500 covers per day, including students, staff and visitors
* To prepare a seasonal menu, ensuring full adherence to recipes, food preparation standards at all times
* To understand the needs of the students, staff and visitors with special dietary requirements and ensure they are catered for
Experience and Skills required
* Experience in a similar position is desirable but training will be given
Personal Characteristics
* An enthusiastic team player with a self motivated and confident approach
* Have a great attention to detail
* Be able to plan ahead
* Work well under pressure
* Enjoy contributing to the excellent reputation of the department
Salary and Benefits
* My client is offering the successful Chef a salary of approx. GBP16,000pa
* 30 days Holiday PLUS Bank Holidays
* Staff discount on school fees
* Meal on duty
* Salary sacrifice childcare vouchers
