About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Administrator (25hpw) to join our Learning & Development team within Employee Services, based in Newcastle (Longbenton).

Employee Services is the HR and Payroll shared services section of the HR Enabling Function providing critical, continual administrative support to employees throughout their entire life-cycle; from posting job adverts like this one to attract potential candidates through to the day they leave the company and every aspect in between. Employee Services is made up of core administration teams and specialist teams who look after our 16,000 UK based employees across a range of roles in construction, utilities and Rail.

L&D is one of the specialist teams and has a significant scope of service; from ensuring that all construction employees attend relevant Health and Safety training and helping ensure a safe workforce, to coordinating Commercial and Leadership courses which enhances our employees' understanding of the business to enabling them to do what is right for the future of Balfour Beatty.

Who we're looking for

Our successful candidate will be self-motivated but also able to work under instruction; they will be proactive and able to use their initiative but, at the same time, be responsive to changing needs of our customers and adapt very quickly. The new team member who joins us will be used to high volume workloads and will be able to work towards our KPIs of timeliness and quality. A good attention to detail is absolutely critical in this role and our successful candidate will take full responsibility for the quality of their own work as well as supporting colleagues in maintaining our high standards. Strong verbal and written communicative skills are hugely valued in Employee Services; our customers are at the centre of everything we do and we need to ensure that we are able to communicate effectively with them.
