Garment Technologist, New Job Opportunity, Yorkshire

Your new company
My client are an established multi-product clothing label who are stocked both in the UK and Internationally. They boast an open plan office space with a friendly professional team. Due to growth, they are now looking to take on an experienced garment technologist.

Your new role
This is an excellent job opportunity to join a busy, ambitious and forward-thinking fashion company. You will need to have attention to detail, be able to work on your own initiative and must have been in a similar role previously, with a knowledge of patterns. The ideal candidate must be an accurate, organised and flexible individual who is able to work proactively and must be able to prioritize their own workload and time management, whilst working in a fast-paced office environment.

You will report to the Managing Director and work closely with the designers to ensure full visibility of product at the initial stage. Managing the sealing process from proto, through SMS to production, tracking the samples. Furthermore, you will ensure all styles are fitted and sealed in line with critical dates as well as meeting the high standard of technical specifications for the Brand. Overseeing and checking measurements to ensure the company's sizing policy is maintained and consistent across product categories and that garments are manufactured within tolerances Leading and organizing all fitting sessions, accurately completing measurement charts and factory communication. Working very closely with Design turning CADs into Technical Specs to deliver the product aesthetic, with the best manufacturing methods, in line with the brand identity

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally possess a qualification in Clothing Technology or similar. You will have experience of working with all product groups. You will have strong organizational skills with experience of workingto critical deadlines and critical path management. You will also have strong IT skills, particularly Adobe Illustrator and Excel with attention to detail and accuracy. An understanding of patterns and how to correct these if a garment is not fitting well would also be beneficial.
