Are you passionate about social care and do you want to help support the sector to create a better led and skilled adult social care workforce?

Adult social care is a growing sector that currently has around 18,000 employers and a workforce of around 1.55 million workers.  This is a unique opportunity to work at Skills for Care, - we provide practical tools and support to help adult social care organisations in England recruit, develop and lead their workforce. We work with employers and related services to raise quality and standards and make sure dignity and respect are at the heart of service delivery.

As the home of the National Skills Academy for Social Care, our support is from entry level right through to those in senior leadership and management roles. Our work helps our sector recruit and retain the right people who have the right skills at the right time to deliver high quality services to people who need care and support in our communities.

As the public face of Skills for Care, you will deliver our services to a broad spectrum of employers and related services, ensuring that you understand their individual challenges and priorities.

This role will involve extensive networking, requiring outstanding interpersonal skills, a dynamic personality and proven ability to translate customer requirements into measurable actions.

We are looking for a confident, capable individual who ideally will have a good knowledge of the sector. Ideally, you should be well versed in workforce development, skilled in presenting and negotiating, and ready to make a significant impact on our engagement with social care employers and related services in the area.

The post will be based in the Midlands. The geographical area the post holder will cover will be Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.  This may change according to the needs of the business at a future date.

The post holder will also be required to occasionally attend meetings in other parts of the country, including meetings in central London and at Head Office in Leeds.  Please note candidates must reside in the Midlands area, ideally within the area they are covering.

Please note, this is a home based role therefore candidates must have access to broadband and sufficient space for an ergonomic home office.
