Housing Operations Manager (High Rise and City Centre Living)

Salary up to £40,000 + Benefits

Based in Leicester

Permanent, 35 hours per week

Waterloo Housing Group manages over 26,000 properties across the East and West Midlands areas.  The Group has recently reviewed the management of our two High Rise social housing blocks based in the heart of Leicester City Centre and are creating a new team to oversee these.

As our new Operations Manager, you will lead the team and will have overall responsibility for the full spectrum of estates services to ensure a high quality management service to residents whilst ensuring the High Rises are well maintained, compliant and achieve return on investment. This is an extremely varied role which will require exceptional communication and negotiation skills, working collaboratively with other teams and external agencies to achieve results.

We are looking for a commercially minded, results driven and proactive individual with first class organisation skills to make this challenging new role a success. With substantial experience of working in housing management coupled with supervisory experience, you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and customer involvement.

This role will manage the on-site concierge team and therefore previous experience of managing, coaching and motivating a team is essential. Experience of working in a High Rise environment, or at least being able to demonstrate knowledge of High Rise management issues, is also essential.  Ideally with a good understanding of compliance matters, including Health and Safety, you will have knowledge of budget monitoring and reporting.

A driving licence and use of your own vehicle is required for site visits and to attend other Group offices.

Closing date: 5pm on 31st October 2017

Assessment Centre and interviews: 17th November 2017
