The Role:

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for;

  • Providing a key administrative support function that will assist in the delivery of a cohesive, efficient and secure HR transactional service to all parts of the UK business.
  • Responding to all HR related queries via telephone, e-mail and letter, responding in a timely and accurate manner to ensure a good level of service is given to employees, managers and third parties to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Ensuring relevant enquiries and issues are be passed on to the appropriate members of the HR and payroll teams.
  • Assist the UK HR Manager to minimise the number of calls receieved by the HR department by activately particpating in the monitoring of calls to look for patterns and trends and being involved in suggesting way to offer a self-service option to elimate calls, or improve our communication to reduce repeat calls.
  • Enter data in an acurate and timely manner, to ensure maintain data integrity and security, into the numerous HR information systems (HRIS) and database used by the department.

The Candidate:

Experience

  • No previous experience is required, however the professional experience within the following areas would be desirable;
  • Previous administrative experience, gained in a busy office environment.
  • Previous experience working in a customer focused environment, to tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience of handling telephone queries, responding and redirecting where necessary, in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Experience working in a secure and confidential environment.
  • Experience of working with HR systems/databases.

Skills & Knowledge

Essential

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work effectively on your own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail while working to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a secure and confidential manner which is required within a HR department.
  • Able to work Flexibly, learn quickly and adapt to changing demands and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to deal with colleagues at various levels within the organisation.
  • Ability to see things from the customers point of view and ensure they receive a professional, friendly, quick and accurate service at all times.

Desirable

  • Ability to extract data and manipulate/analyse information, particularly in excel using pivot tables and conditional formatting, etc.
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to customer service

Qualifications:

  • Essential
  • English Language and Maths GCSE/'O' Level, or equivalent, grades A-C.
  • Desirable
  • Educated to 'A' level standard or equivalent.
