About the Health & Safety Manager Position….

 

Linc Cymru are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join our Asset Management Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Asset Management, you will be responsible for ensuring our Linc Homes and Linc Care properties are safe as well as ensuring we are delivering safe working practices in everything we do. With one direct report, a Health & Safety Officer, you will assume full accountability and take ownership over all aspects of Health and Safety.

 

Working with our colleagues in Linc Care, Linc Homes, Asset Management, Development and other service areas, you will be responsible for managing our risk framework, risk assessments and embedding a safety first culture. You will be working with people across the business, reviewing contractor Health & Safety practices, and auditing our Health & safety and fire safety policies and processes. Fire Risk Assessments and subsequent programmes of work are also a key part of this role, Fire Safety experience is therefore essential.

 

Our Ideal Candidate….

This role is about people as well as our assets, you must have the capability to work at strategic level as well as operational and be able to communicate effectively with various audiences. Have the ability to produce detailed reports and key performance indicators that articulate risks as well as the options to mitigate the risk. Communication skills, attitude and behaviours are therefore very important in both written and verbal form. You will be required to undertake research projects to understand where the main Health & Safety risks are within the organisation and implement a strategy and operational delivery plans to ensure a safe culture for the future.

 

Experience within the social housing and care sector is desirable, although experience from a similar sector such as maintenance or facilities will be considered. You must be suitably qualified as outlined in the person specification. Access to your own vehicle and a clean UK driver’s licence is essential. A Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check will be undertaken upon offer to the successful candidate.

Interviews are planned for 8th / 9th November 2017, the interview format will be a 30 minute assessment followed by a 45 minute interview.
