Senior Software Developer
.NET / Full Stack - Product
Stevenage.

This well-established international systems company is enjoying good growth and, due to insourcing, seeks an experienced, senior developer to join their already well-established UK product development team.

The company employs around 100 staff in the UK and offers a fast-paced, varied and structured environment to utilise your skills and progress your career. They are keen to secure the right person and will happily wait (even for people with long notice periods).

Senior Software Developer - C#, VB.NET - the role:
Working in a structured development environment (Agile) you will be liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders (QA, Technical Support, Product Management teams), covering the full software development lifecycle as a 'full stack' developer: creating application source code; following development processes and work instructions; working to coding standards, performing code review.

The team has some latitude on the products they use. C# is the main choice for new work, with VB.Net among the remaining technologies, but a broader range of products are used, essentially using the best tools for the job at hand.

Senior Software Developer - C#, VB.NET - the person:
Candidates must have experience of working in a product (desktop or browser-based) software development environment, with:
* Strong C# and the willingness to work on VB.Net
* Strong SQL Server
* Experience with database design concepts and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong planning and organising capability
* Focus on teamwork, able to help teams work together

Desired skills:
* VB6 skills useful. It typically accounts for no more than 5% of the projects, but there are times (usually for sheer speed) that it's used.
* Any experience of working at Scrum Master level useful, but not essential

Other desired skills include:
* RESTful API, TDD BDD, Web technology (HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS)
* JSON Data Objects, Experience with Distributed Architectures
* Asynchronous Request Handling
* Design Patterns
* Service Oriented Architecture
* XML
* GIT

All-in-all this is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly professional and well-defined environment, where you can employ your skills and grow with the company. Salary negotiable for the right person. Services advertised by Dupen are those of an Agency.
