Residential Care Worker

Marland School is a dual site weekly residential and day school, located on two separate sites.  The residential school is based in Peters Marland 6 miles from Great Torrington.  At the residential school we are looking a suitable candidate to join our residential care team.  You must have the ability to support young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, and be able to respond appropriately to challenging behaviour.  You will have a genuine desire to work with young people and have the ability and skills needed to engage them in social activities, enjoy being in their company and be passionate about enabling them to succeed.  A relevant level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential. 

The annualised hours total 1700 hours (averaged out over term time) and involve an irregular shift pattern that includes a combination of early mornings, evenings and split shifts.

Pre-interview visits (evenings preferred) are strongly encouraged and welcomed.
