The Role: 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be tasked with developing technical machine concepts to meet the requirements of the global customer base. 

Working on a huge variety of projects, you will become involved in robotics, automation systems and, specifically, special purpose machines. 

Your role will involve: 

- Supporting the Business Development Team in winning and retaining customers 
- Providing machine designs to the Manufacturing Team 
- Operating as part of the four-strong Mechanical Engineering Team 
- Creating detailed design drawings and 3D CAD models 
- Offering advice to complement your work and support projects 
- Acting as the technical interface for clients for the projects you are working on 
- Problem solving and making improvements to projects where required 

About You: 

To be considered as a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will need: 

- An in-depth and thorough understanding of machine design 
- Experience of using a 3D CAD package, ideally SolidEdge 
- An HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering-related discipline
