Our client is a large, and growing, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Tees Valley.

They currently have an opportunity available for a Lecturer (Fixed term December 2017 - July 2018) to join them to deliver Land Based tuition to Foundation Learners with an emphasis on Animal Management; delivering other qualifications to Foundation Learners and providing course management as required.

Within the role you will be required to contribute to programmes within the General Education Section, carrying out the responsibilities of a Lecturer, teaching 860 hours per annum (pro rata) less any contact time that may be allocated to carry out designated management duties as part of this role.

Assisting with the development of the curriculum within the Section, you must ensure all administrative responsibilities associated with lecturing are completed and participate in training and development courses, research, secondment and personal contact in order to keep up to date in technical and education expertise.

Candidates for this role must be qualified to at least NQF Level 3 e.g. A level / National Diploma in a land based subject area, hold level 2 qualifications in Numeracy and Literacy (or be willing to work towards these) and have a commitment to gaining a Teaching Certificate within a required time frame.  Experience of working with NEET or other socially excluded young people, you should have experience of working with young people with learning difficulties and of teaching in a foundation learning context within an FE environment.
