They now have an opportunity available for a Student Services Advisor (Term time only) to join them to provide relevant and accurate information, advice and guidance (IAG) to both internal and external customers, whilst delivering outstanding levels of customer service.

Implementing policies and procedures relating to student welfare, finance, behaviour and the Code of Conduct, you must research and keep up to date with relevant student funding information (including SFA funding rules, student loans, student support funds) and promote the availability of funds to existing and prospective students to support the objective that every student receives the financial support they are entitled to whilst they are at college.

Raising the awareness of positive health among students, you will manage the supply of information on health and welfare to students and support the development of contacts with external agencies who can help the College in promoting positive health.  You must also liaise with College Careers Advisers to ensure an effective guidance service is provided for students and attend and provide support at College events e.g. open events, consultation evenings, taster and introduction days

Candidates for this role must have experience of working in a FE environment, particularly with students aged 16+ years gained within a residential college environment.  Committed to student learning and creating an outstanding student experience, you must have a flexible approach to work and be proficient in the use of IT.
