Salary: £16,478 per annum
Permanent – 37.5 hours per week
Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a Retirement Living Assistant on behalf of our client, a leading social housing provider.
This is an exciting opportunity for a full time Retirement Living Assistant in the Midlands to include Nottingham and Derbyshire. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
The Retirement Living service provides customers with accommodation and services that keep them living independently with the peace of mind that they’re safe and sound. They support them to live life to the full, keep active and remain involved in the local community.
As a Retirement Living Assistant, you will provide a professional support service of the highest standard to Retirement Living Customers. As part of a staff team that is committed to ‘best practice’ in the social housing field, you will assist in the day to day delivery of the service for Retirement Living.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to; assist in the provision of comprehensive housing management including working with tenancy agreements; carry out day to day office administration functions to ensure that all records and files are maintained and held securely and that the confidentiality of information is upheld; report repairs and maintenance needs on behalf of the customer following agreed procedures; assist in the monitoring and delivery of service contracts at the scheme including lifts, heating fire equipment, gardening etc.; ensure that the company’s Health and Safety policy is fully implemented at the scheme; ensure customers are aware of the provision of security at the scheme at all times.
Successful applicants will have strong experience of working in a customer focused environment, and preferably previous experience of working with vulnerable / elderly people. Strong communication skills are essential as is a flexible, responsive can do attitude. Must have good level of IT literacy. Travel throughout the midlands area will be expected so a car user will have an advantage.
Although not essential, applicants with a formal care, support or housing qualification would be very well received.
