Regional Sales Manager: Based in Brighton, an experienced and enthusiastic native French speaking Regional Manager is required to identify and develop commercial opportunities for the market leader in heavy plant lifting equipment sales, rental and aftercare to West Africa.

The ideal Regional Sales Manager will be technically minded with first-hand experience of developing and managing sales opportunities and prospects within a defined territory. Preferably with demonstrable knowledge of plant equipment.

With over 60 years of experience supplying heavy lifting equipment to the shipping, mining and construction industries of West Africa this is an exciting and challenging Regional Sales Manager role. Approximately 10% overseas travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

*Develop commercial relationships within core business to identify opportunities for plant sale.
*Manage relationships with key decision makers in to maximize sales opportunities.
*Liaise with company buyers to ensure potential plant equipment orders are fit for purpose.
*Participate in developing & executing business & marketing strategy for local markets.
*Place orders and manage customer expectations with regard to delivery, warranty, parts etc. Chase through order and liaise with Logistics on delivery
*Liaise with Plant Sales Coordinator and Accounts with regard to billing of order and accurate accounting
*Oversee and prepare reporting for MD and manufacturers.
*Where possible seek out opportunities for sales of Group services such as service, inspections and supply of spare parts and promote and co-ordinate our teams' efforts in this regard.

Skills and experiences:

*Self-sufficient, energetic and resourceful
*Previous experience in a Territory Sales role, preferably plant equipment.
*Fluent or native French language skills essential
*Degree qualified or relevant industry experience
*Team management experience (desirable)
*Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
*Diplomatic and effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate clearly to customers and suppliers with whom English or French is a second language.
