Research Funding Advisor - 1 permanent, 1 temporary maternity cover

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team in the Research & Enterprise Services that has responsibility for delivering high level administrative support to our academic community in applying for external research grants.

The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of research funding administration, identifying, analyzing and recommending research funding opportunities to all levels of academic staff within our University from the major funding streams nationally, specifically EU programmes and international sources.

The post holder will provide specialist advice to internal staff and external collaborating partners on compliance, financial regulations and all other specific funding guidelines drawing on specialist in-depth knowledge and experience of funder requirements and ensuring that applications are in line with our university's strategic agenda and are of the highest quality.

Applicants must demonstrate that they have high level administrative experience in a funding development role including a demonstrable track record for initiating and developing contacts with external organisations and generating applications. A good understanding of relevant funding sources and the wider income generation support agenda and regional, national, European and international networks.

Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team, along with the ability and commitment to work as part of a cross University team is essential.
