We are a multi-disciplined engineering Company with two sites in the North West. Established in 1992, AIM has grown to one of the leading providers of small tooling, large assembly jigs and fixtures to the aerospace and automotive industries. Due to continued success, growth and expansion AIM Engineering are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals to join our team at the Wythenshawe site: -
Metrology Engineer
Experience of the following:
- Must be a time served Toolmaker with a minimum of five years jigs and fixture experience
- Knowledge and experience of Leica Laser Tracker Systems AT402/AT901/AT960
- Experience using T-Probe and T-Scan would be advantageous
- Experience of small to large volume projects
- Knowledge of SA (Spatial Analyser) software
- 3D CAD experience
- The ability to manipulate CAD models
- Knowledge of detail inspection requirements
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Qualifications/requirements
- Mechanical Engineering qualifications, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC
- Strong computer skills including MS Office
- Full driving licence
- NPL Level 1 or 2 Training
- NPL GDT Training
- Site specific; IPAF, crane licence, Fork Lift, First Aid
Toolmaker
Experience of the following:
- Must be a time served Toolmaker with a minimum of five years jigs and fixture experience
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawing and principles
- Experience of small to large jigs and fixtures
- Experience of Aerospace and Automotive requirements
- Experience of toolroom equipment, turning, milling, grinding
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Knowledge of detail inspection requirements
Qualifications/requirements
- Mechanical Engineering qualifications, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC
- Full driving licence
- Site specific; IPAF, crane licence, Fork Lift, First Aid
