CNC Miller Setter / Operator (3&5 Axis Machining Centres) & CNC Offline Programmer Delcam Power

We are a multi-disciplined engineering Company with two sites in the North West. Established in 1992, AIM has grown to one of the leading providers of small tooling, large assembly jigs and fixtures to the aerospace and automotive industries. Due to continued success, growth and expansion AIM Engineering are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals to join our team at the Wythenshawe site: -

CNC Miller Setter/Operator (various shifts) 3 Axis and 5 Axis Machining Centres

Experience of the following: -

  • Control systems: Fanuc/Hurco/Heidenhain/Siemens
  • Understanding of machine setting, clamping methods, tool setting
  • Able to interpret and work to engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of GDT and Datum systems
  • Ability to work to close tolerances
  • Familiarity with various materials – Aluminium, Steels, Stainless
  • Understanding of G & M Codes

Qualifications/requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering qualifications, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC
  • Time served with experience of CNC milling
  • Manufacturing experience in either automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Programming knowledge would be advantageous with the ability to read pre-prepared programs and documentation produced from our CAD/CAM system.
  • Candidate must be familiar with precision manufacturing inspection equipment
  • Candidates should be capable of checking their own work prior to final inspection

CNC Offline Programmer Delcam Powermill

Experience of the following:

  • Time served Engineering background preferred, i.e., CNC Operator/Toolmaker
  • CNC Offline Programming experience is essential
  • Experience of working with DECLAM software (other software packages would be considered)
  • Previous experience ideally within Aerospace/Tooling and Automotive
  • Able to interpret and work to engineering drawings and 3D models
  • Proactive approach to continuous development and improvement on toolpath strategies and methods.

Qualifications/requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering qualifications, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office
  • Time served CNC Machinist or Toolmaker
  • Manufacturing experience in either Automotive or Aerospace industry
