Woven Ladies Wear Designer

The Company:

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented & versatile Woven Ladies Wear Designer to take the next step in their career with an established supplier to the UK High Street.

You will be extremely creative and trend driven, but also able to translate trends into commercial product. Production all set up off shore and approved by all stores.

You will be confident at building relationships with your customers, and ready to step up to a challenging yet rewarding design role.

Woven Ladies Wear Designer - The Role:

• Ladies tops, dresses and leisure multi-apparel designs.
• Seasonal research, trend prediction, catwalk, competitor, vintage to social media to identify and translate the "must have trends" into commercial styles
• Creating design, colour, trend boards and artwork
• Presenting designs and ideas to Buyers
• Responsible for development of styles in accordance with the business and the customer requirements.
• Understand garment construction and selection styles are suitable for production
• Identify and update bestsellers to drive repeat business
• To update all internal work systems and digital files, building the product range collateral of the business

Desire Skills and Experience:

• Identify key styles for the season.
• Sourcing new woven fabric / prints.
• Design of multi-product woven with accurate execution of design briefs in line with customer requirements.
• Attend buying meetings and collaborate with buyers on range requirements helping to drive newness and individuality.
• Work with and brief the in-house graphic team as required.
• Work with and brief sampling team off shore. Excellent communicational skills for liaising with buyers.
• PC literate.
• Excellent Administration skills.
• You must be very fashion focussed with a flair for fast fashion and have an up to date portfolio.
