Support Worker
Location: Portland, Weymouth and surrounding areas.
Contract Type: Full, Part-Time and Zero Hours.*
*This is a busy and growing service, with regularly available hours on a flexible basis.
Rate of pay: £8 weekdays, £10 weekends

The organization has been providing care and support to people for 7 years and has now become part of The YOU Trust; a registered charity that provides care, support and advice to vulnerable people across Hampshire and Dorset, giving them the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives.

The Role

This is a very exciting and rewarding opportunity to work alongside people, helping them to live the life they want in their own homes, community or day centre. You will be providing personal care, rebuilding confidence, supporting the development of daily living skills, building self esteem and supporting people in the community. We provide sitting services, shopping and cleaning, and have a lovely day centre.

We have various contracts and hours available, to be discussed at the point of interview. We strive to encourage & improve a person's independence to remain in their own homes whilst ensuring they are safe

About You

You don't need to have qualifications, as full training will be provided! You will need to be approachable, friendly, professional and supportive, as you will be a friendly face which might be the only contact with the outside world our client has that day. You will have life experience, a caring nature and be as passionate about our organisational values as we are, which means you will be person centred, innovative, trustworthy, can do and excellent at all times. Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you are a car driver, and you will need to have business insurance.
