CAD Technician
Location: Chester-le-Street, DH2 1AG
Rate: £21,000 to £26,000 based on experience / negotiable
Contract: Permanent
Starting: Immediate
Hours: Normal hours of work are 39 hours a week

Description:
The company is a small but growing manufacturer of architectural metalwork including balustrade, staircases, handrails, railings & gates. The company has built a strong reputation and is experiencing increasing demand.
They are looking to take on an experienced 2D/3D CAD Technician to join the drawing office. Your role would involve the use of our legacy 2D system (AutoCAD Lt) and newly-implemented 3D (Autodesk Inventor) software to prepare both general and detail CAD drawings for the fabrication and installation teams. You would also be required to produce accompanying documents such as material requisition and cutting lists.
You must be able to express yourself clearly, accurately and concisely in spoken, written and drawn formats. Good mathematical and problem solving abilities are essential to the role.
IMPORTANT: Only candidates with CAD experience will be considered.
Experience Requirements:
* CAD Software Experience - Essential
* 3D CAD Experience - Highly Advantageous
* AutoCAD Lt Experience - Advantageous
* Industry Specific (Architectural Metalwork) CAD - Highly Advantageous
* Industry Specific (Any Construction Field) CAD - Advantageous
Skill Requirements:
* Computer Aptitude - Essential
* Communication (written, spoken & drawn) - Essential
Qualification Requirements:
* Maths GCSE (or equivalent) grade A*-C - Essential
* CAD Qualification/s - Highly Advantageous
* Full, Clean Driving Licence - Highly Advantageous
* Minimum 3 other GCSEs (or equivalent) grade A*-C including English - Recommended
