Bison Storage Services is a successful family-run general haulage company specialising in a dedicated same-day service to a variety of customers. We run a Euro 6 FORS-compliant fleet.
We require a Transport Manager to work at our Dewsbury base. You will focus on the day to day running of the organisation, including the efficient delivery of our services, compliance, staffing and company strategy.
The successful candidate will:
Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of operations across a team of 10 drivers, plus office staff, through agreed KPIs
Maintain and increase relationships with new and existing customers and sub contractors.
Forecast and plan variability in fleet and driver numbers in order to provide a timely service to our clients, particularly during peak periods
Ensure adherence to company policies, particularly those relating to fleet management and environmental standards.
Seek to continually improve our working practices, via adoption of new technologies and efficiency standards
Maintain FORS accreditation and seek to be continuously ahead of requirements.
You must have experience in general haulage fleet operations , International CPC and hold a HGV licence. FORS practitioner/ manager status is desirable.
