Our Nursing Home in Newport – Capel Grange - offers the highest standards in accommodation and person-centred care, exemplary direct nursing care and a secure, relaxed and homely environment where our elders and their families feel that their well-being and comfort is of prime importance.

We are looking to recruit a Food Service Assistant on a bank basis to assist the Head Chef in delivering the highest standards of food and service to our 72 Elders, some of whom have specialist dietary requirements.  We recognise the massive role food plays in the lives of residents and strive to ensure that every mealtime is a positive and fulfilling experience.

Specific duties will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of the dining areas prior to the service of meals.
• Setting up and cleaning tables, washing up and serving meals.

You will enjoy working in a team and have a positive attitude to supporting your colleagues and the elders. You will take pride in cleanliness and organisation on shift, understanding that Health and Safety and Food Safety are essential in the workplace. Your passion for food and customer service should be clear.

This role is on a bank basis, however there is scope for this role to become a permanent position in the future.
