The Role:

Our client has an excellent new opportunity for a HR Resourcing Apprentice to join their global organisation. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for;

  • Providing a full administrative service to support resourcing activities for the UK business, as part of the HR team, to ensure delivery of a cohesive and effective service.
  • Answering all recruitment related enquiries, responding to all telephone calls, and managing e-mails delivered to the Recruitment mailbox.
  • Processing hiring requests through the e-recruitment system, ensuring all required information has been received and the approval matrix is followed.
  • Processing applications received outside of the e-recruitment system, i. via email, and upload these to the system, creating the candidate file and ensuring the appropriate sourcing channel is selected.
  • Assisting with the preparation of draft adverts using prepared templates, for Job Boards, Press, Social Media, Job Centre, etc as required, for approval by the Resourcing Specialist.
  • Actively communicating internal vacancies on a weekly basis, promoting the company's referral scheme and ensuring all employees are aware of the career opportunities available and the internal talent pool is utilised.
  • Assisting with the organisation of interviews and appropriate selection activities as and when required for each recruitment campaign, sending interview confirmations to all attendees.

Candidate's Requirements:

Skills & Knowledge

Essential

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work effectively on your own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail while working to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a secure and confidential manner which is required within a HR department.
  • Able to work flexibly, learn quickly and adapt to changing demands and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to deal with colleagues at various levels within the organisation.
  • Ability to see things from the customers' point of view and ensure they receive a professional, friendly, quick and accurate service at all times.

Desirable

  • Ability to extract data and manipulate/analyse information, particularly in Excel using pivot tables and conditional formatting, etc.
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to customer service.

Qualifications

Essential

  • English Language and Maths GCSE/'O' Level, or equivalent, grades A-C.

Desirable

  • Educated to 'A' level standard or equivalent.

Experience

No previous experience is required. However the professional experience within the following areas would be desirable;

  • Previous administrative experience, gained in a busy office environment.
  • Previous experience working in a customer focused environment, to tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience of handling telephone queries, responding and redirecting where necessary, in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Experience working in a secure and confidential environment.
  • Experience of working with HR systems/databases.
