Our client, a global manufacturer, is looking for an experienced Shift Production Manager to join their team.
Main parts of the role:
Most importantly, to take a leading role in ensuring that all working practices are adhered to within the site.
To manage the Health and Safety of all employees and contractors in their control.
To ensure compliance with National, Corporate, Group and Site safety rules and regulations.
To ensure the security and integrity of the site on night shifts and weekends. To ensure employees abide by the appropriate rules and regulations on Company environmental policy.
To work co-operatively as part of a shift supervision team or "pool" in organising and leading work activities on the shift.
To ensure that the shift operators are fully trained and meet the expected competency levels required in their job role (s)
To demonstrate leadership behaviours and qualities.
To uphold and maintain standards of performance (production output, quality and service) of individuals and teams.
To communicate with shift personnel on machine targets and performance levels and to encourage and motivate team members to optimise performance.
To address all sub standard performance and/or unacceptable behaviours according to the principles set out in the disciplinary procedure.
To work closely with the leadership team to ensure that change programmes are rolled out successfully through careful communication, explanation and involvement of all employees.
To provide data into the daily reports for review by management.
