Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Location: Birmingham - multi-site attendance - Wakefield, Sunderland, Leamington Spa, Stockport, Manchester, Leeds & Birmingham (smaller sites also to be covered)

Since their establishment over 90 years ago, they have grown into a worldwide organisation, bringing innovative solutions to international clients.  The business is in an exciting period of growth and development, consequently they are now looking to recruit a talented individual to help them shape the future of their HR department.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for building credible business relationships with and within their client group. Working with each business lead and their management teams to drive and support the deliverables of the HR Plan. Providing HR solutions to aid business performance. To challenge the ‘status quo’ and find HR solutions to issues relevant to each business, functional and site area. The successful candidate will have solid, up to date knowledge of Employment Law, experience of L&D, Reward & Recognition processes and tools as well as experience of Employee Communications & Engagement. A minimum of 40% travel within UK business area will be required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities;

  • To be the main point of contact for all business leads and their senior management teams within area of responsibility
  • Using the central HR Plan as a template, agree ‘local’ HR Plans for each business area with the business leads and their teams which respond to business specifics. Work with relevant members of the HR Team to support and deliver the objectives to agreed timelines and milestones
  • Lead key project work in relation HR Plan targets. Own and deliver projects in various areas to be agreed such as; L&D, Reward, Resourcing, HR Communications, HR Metrics etc. Delivering projects from; conception to delivery and through to evaluation and implementing agreed changes as necessary. Full life cycle ownership of projects assigned
  • Attend all sites and support business requirements
  • Support the resourcing process centrally to ensure the business is recruiting top talent
  • Own HR process implementation locally by driving behaviours to manage the significant business change process that is currently underway
  • Responsible for HR related business issues within the region relating to Employee Relations, Employee Career Development, Talent Management, L&D, Resourcing & Retention and Employee Communications
  • Understand resource planning issues within areas of responsibility. Plan future resourcing requirements according to budget targets
  • Work with line managers to support employee development using tools and models available within the business and acquiring models and tools to support the employee development in general
  • Support Line Manager capability within business areas
