*** Graduate Teaching Assistant position in Harlow to start ASAP
*** 1 Year Fixed Term, Full-Time role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant
*** GBP55-GBP70 per day, paid weekly (dependent on experience)
*** Strong academic record including a 2:1 or above in your degree, good A-levels and GCSE grades of C or above in English, Maths and Science
*** A degree in a core subject is preferred, though all suitably qualified candidates will be considered
*** Previous experience of supporting young people is preferred though not essential
The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will ideally have some experience working with younger people, not necessarily in education but evidence of you trying to gain work with young people will strengthen your application. The chosen Graduate Teaching Assistant should have a strong academic background with a 2:1 degree or above, be personable approachable and empathetic.
The school are looking for talented and academic individuals to support some of their pupils that are achieving below expected levels, the main priority will be to focus on English, Math's and Science in the first instance - as such a degree in one of there fields would be beneficial. Should you display a natural aptitude for this role, there is also an opportunity to lead booster groups for small groups of high achieving pupils as they approach their exams.
The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will be versatile and adaptable individual, well equipped to deal with the ever changing school working environment. This large, progressive school can offer you excellent training opportunities as well as constant support. For the right candidate there may even be an opportunity to progress on to a School Direct placement from September 2018.
