We are looking for an experienced software systems (DevOps) engineer tojoin our Agile development team, which provides build, quality andrelease tooling across a department of around 100 software engineers andtesters; supporting continuous integration builds, virtualised testenvironments and internal systems.
In this role you will be able to show your passion for enabling others,formulating best practice workflows and building systems to make thesoftware development process easier and more effective. You will be ableto show your flexibility to work on a wide range of systems andtechnologies, interacting with the immediate team and other teams doingboth Dev and Ops work.

Day to day activities
- Write code, create tooling, build and configure systems to deliveragainst project goals
- Monitor and maintain existing systems
- Research new technologies and tools, assist driving plans to gain adoption
- Contribute to Agile stand-ups, collaborative estimation, planning andretrospective meetings
- Share knowledge and document as you go

Experience and skills
Essential
- Technical problem solving
- Good communicator, able to work with different audiences andinfluence across teams
- Ability to investigate new technology and contribute to creation ofadoption plans
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deliveryprocesses and tooling
- Experience with Configuration Management methodologies and tooling
- Experience with development of back-end systems and infrastructure
Desirable
- Knowledge of Python, PowerShell or other scripting languages
- Familiarity with CI tooling such as Bamboo, Jenkins
- Familiarity with CM tooling such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible
- Familiarity with VCS such as Git/Stash/Bitbucket, Perforce
- OO software development in high level language such as C++, Java, C#
- Knowledge of networks and virtualisation technologies
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and testing best practices
- Database configuration and implementation, SQL, NoSQL
- Experience of developing using Web technologies, AWS or Azure
- Administrative knowledge of Windows or Linux, Domain management
- Experience of code signing
- Familiarity with Security models and enforcing them
