As a result of organic growth an opportunity exists for a Senior Software Developer / Team Lead to join a well-established national Development team in a leadership capacity. Your new role Will have you leading and growing a team of developers, working in a cross-functional Agile team of Business Analysts, Designers and Developers delivering applications for a national audience. You will apply best practice approaches to contribute to the ongoing improvement of coding practices and process. You will contribute to the growing business opportunities being realised by enhancing and evolving the existing platform. This is a technical hands on development role that will also take on team leadership responsibility for up to 4 developers initially, with future plans to grow to a team of 5-10 developers covering 3/4 products. What you'll need to succeed You will bring experience in developing and testing applications in an Agile / Scrum, test-driven environment, having utilised multiple programming languages throughout your career to date your passion for technology, stakeholder management skills and track record of leading / managing a small team will ultimately lead to your success. You will have a proven track record in staff development, shaping teams, and nurturing talent. You will have skills in and or at least a general familiarity with the following programming languages, technologies and standards, whilst being conscientious of the direction technology it is moving in. - C# .NET - MVC / MVVM - SQL Server or My SQL - Virtual / Cloud-based platforms AZURE / VMWare / AWS - Continuous integration, TDD, Build and deployment automation.
