Job Role:

In order to further build on the success of our Client's organisation and to continue evolving their business and technology propositions they are currently looking to appoint a Business Analyst to join their friendly and professional IT & Business Systems department at their Horsforth Head Office.

This department is a key influence in the business and helps to shape it by scoping, managing, implementing and integrating business change from a technological, operational and strategic perspective.

They are one of the largest Independent Financial Adviser support group's in the UK with over 25 years' industry experience, and they provide a wide range of services that enable them to provide quality financial advice and services to meet the requirements of their clients. The key accountabilities and responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Carry out business and process analysis utilising a variety of methods to identify, analyse and document business processes, business improvement ideas and system requirements
  • Liaise with all areas of IT and Company process owners to implement the appropriate business analysis, process analysis and requirements elicitation procedures
  • Development of business cases and proposal in conjunction with all senior stakeholders and project managers feeding into and assisting the overall IT project portfolio

The essential experience, technical skills and knowledge required for this role is as follows:

  • Analytical and people skills to interpret unstructured conflicting business needs and translate them into structured system and operational requirements
  • Understanding of efficient operational business processes and proactive customer service initiatives to drive business improvement ideas
  • Training and mentoring of other IT team members and business staff in business and process analysis methods
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills to internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously understanding dependencies, conflicts and pre-requisites
  • Work independently with a variety of stakeholders to define concepts and with project managers to align requirements with project goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams, support teams and suppliers for business change issues

The desirable experience or technical skills and knowledge required for this role is as follows:

  • BPMN 2 Process Mapping Method
  • Business Process Management (BPM) Systems
  • Automated systems integrations projects
  • SDLC - software development lifecycle
  • Project Management methodologies
  • Experience in MI report writing.
  • Experience within the Retail Financial Services Industry

The desirable professional qualifications required for this role is as follows:

  • Lean Six Sigma
  • BCS Diploma in Business Analysis (ISEB)
