Zodiac Aerospace Services UK are looking for a Works Order Administrator. This is an exciting new role in which the successful candidate will assist in the creation of a new administration process for the completion of job pack data using Excel and in house software. They will also work to ensure that all data is processed accurately and in a timely manner and to report any issues that arise to the Work Shop Team Leaders. 

The key outcomes expected of this role are: 

  •  Accurate computing of all data
  • Drawing attention to any errors to Team Leaders and Workshop Manager
  • Actively work as part of the team within the shop floor, liaising with and working closely with technicians. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Follow all Health & Safety rules and guidelines:
    • Ensure full awareness and understanding of the risks involved in the operations undertaken 
    • Wear the appropriate PPE at all times
    • Take action to ensure your and your colleagues’ safety at all times
    • Raise ideas for improvement and areas of concern
    • Report all accidents and near misses and participate fully in any investigations
  2. Assist Workshop Manager in the development of the job role and roll out of new process:
    • Review and become familiar with current workshop processes and systems
    • Develop new ideas for the effective running of the administration process
    •  Assist with the implementation of new process
  3. Administration of works orders 
    • Review the requirements for a particular job
    • Inputting requirements for works orders into Excel and printing job pack
    • Allocate the relevant parts for a particular job
    • Creation of shop finding and repair reports
    • Raise any issues or concerns with the Team Leaders/Workshop Manager
  4. Booking Technician’s time onto in house system
    • Process technicians timesheets and enter data into the in house computer system, including all holiday and sickness
    • Ensure all time is entered in line with company deadlines.
  5. Be part of the team
    • Provide training and support to other less experienced members of the team as needed
    • Share ideas for improvement with the Workshop Manager

Please note that the above duties do not represent all of the duties that the job holder may be asked and expected to undertake. The job holder may be expected to undertake other tasks as long as they fall within the broad remit of the job.

Candidate Profile:

The preferred candidate would ideally have an engineering background and/or technical knowledge, however this is not essential. Candidates should be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
