We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At Depaul UK we are currently looking for a Housing Management Worker to come and join our team based in Oldham, on a full time basis, working 37.5 hours per week on a fixed term contract until March 2018. The successful Housing Management Worker will receive a competitive salary of £20,450 per annum + pension and other benefits plus pension & other benefits.

We are a homelessness charity with the largest network of emergency accommodation for young people in the UK, making a difference to the lives of thousands of young people each year. You will have a vital role to play in helping us achieve our mission of offering homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfill their potential and move towards an independent and positive future.
As our Housing Management Worker we require a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our team to provide seamless and cohesive support to some of the highest need young people in the Oldham area. You will predominantly be responsible for supporting the service to meet contractual obligations with regards to void management and acquiring of rental income. You will have the capacity to communicate effectively with people at all levels. This will include the young people we accommodate, DWP staff, colleagues within Depaul, contractors, landlords and so on.
In particular our Housing Management Worker will have the below skills and experience:
- An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use or care leavers.
- Intensive housing management to include void minimisation and maximising rental income.
- A knowledge and understanding of welfare benefits
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Ability to use logical processes for solving problems and making decisions, with particular focus on Risk Assessment.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety
- Sound decision making processes
- Leadership skills
- Accountable and responsible within own practice
- Be a reflective practitioner
- Committed to self-development
- Ability to work using own initiative without immediate supervision.
