Senior Buyer
A leading client is seeking a Senior Buyer based in Bristol. The purpose of the role is to support the delivery of the purchasing objectives, whilst taking ownership for personal workload. Also to identify and implement opportunities for process and performance improvements, as well as cost reductions.
Senior Buyer - Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Manage cost reduction initiatives
* Developing procurement strategies to meet business objectives
* Supplier negotiations
* Optimise supply base
* Tender activity
* Identify and mitigate supply and commercial risks
Senior Buyer - Required skills & experience:
* 3-5 years procurement experience
* Ideally educated to HND / Degree Level Qualification in relevant subject, MCIPS qualified or working towards, or equivalent qualification.
* Strong leadership & stakeholder management skills
* Proven ability to persuade, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
* Good Understanding of Supply Chain Management and Procurement, including Best Practise Purchasing and Sourcing Tools and Techniques
