Furniture Production Technician

Our client is currently looking for the following fulltime permanent position to be filled at their facilities in North Shields.

Essential experience and responsibilities:

* Experienced in the furniture industry, with sound knowledge of high end bespoke furniture or joinery production. (min 3 years)
* IT literate with experience of using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel are essential.
* Must be able to process orders, produce production information, create precise workshop drawings and accurate cutting lists.
* A good understanding of furniture production methods and materials.
* CNC programming experience advantageous but not essential.
* You must be able to work to precise tolerances and must possess an intricate attention to detail
* Creating precise estimates for designers
* Manage projects and answer queries from designers and site fitters.

* Be able to consistently work to a high standard
* Take pride in their own work and carry out their own quality checks
* Good time management skills and capable of working on several projects at one time
* Be able to manage their own workload and keep to deadlines
* Be a practical thinker, able to resolve issues with minimal involvement from other departments / management
* Be flexible able to react to an ever-evolving production plan
