Our client is a top 100 charity, supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs or physical disabilities across England and Wales. They employ approximately 3,600 staff at more than 300 locations and support over 2000 people.

The Role

Joining them as a Fundraising Events Officer, you will be responsible for leading and providing support on a wide range of Fundraising and Events Management based activities.

This is a fixed term role covering Maternity for a period of 12 months.

Leading on the recruitment and management of their London Marathon and Prudential RideLondon-100 teams, the largest fundraiser of the year, you must organise the post-race London Marathon reception and promote fundraising opportunities around own place events. Supporting the development of individual giving and implementing a new donor journey plan, you will lead on a regular communications programme with individual donors and develop ideas around online appeals.

You will work within the Communications Team to develop and deliver plans to increase income through other forms of giving including legacy giving, major donors and corporate giving and maintain a database of strong fundraising case studies to help evidence the impact of fundraising and increase donor giving.

The Candidate

With considerable relevant experience of charity fundraising and the ability to work to defined deadlines, you should have experienced working with databases/Donor strategy and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to manage multiple priorities and schedule your workload effectively, candidates must have experience of carrying out research and, ideally, a commitment to working in the not-for-profit/charity sector.
