We are currently recruiting for a Lead Laboratory Technician to work within our Science teams here at South Devon College. You will be required to assist the laboratory manager in managing resources and equipment for the Sciences, including GCSE, A Level, Access and Degree programmes. You will support staff and students in the laboratory, with a particular focus on supporting Foundation Degree and BSc students’ project work. You will also provide day-to-day management and supervision of the Science laboratory technician apprentice.
The successful candidate will need to hold a Science qualification at Level 4, A Level Science and Health & Safety training. You will need to have previous experience working in a laboratory environment and have knowledge of techniques and processes in Science. You should be familiar with standard IT packages and be able to work efficiently, unsupervised.
