We are currently recruiting for a Lecturer in Computing to join our Hi-Tech -Engineering and Computing team, here at South Devon College. As a professional Lecturer you will be required to undertake teaching responsibilities commensurate with the requirements of the post in a way which demonstrates the high standards expected of colleagues. The postholder will be required to undertake formal scheduled duties including lesson & programme preparation, teaching, tutorials and student assessment.
You will be responsible for the delivery of Computing to Further Education learners and Computer Science (14-16 direct entry) provision. You may also be required to teach across a range of programmes including Higher Education, A-Level, other GCSE programmes and Functional Skills at South Devon College.
The successful candidate will need to hold a relevant Level 3 qualification or above in Computing Science and/or Computing and IT, that covers hardware systems, networking, spreadsheets, databases, programming, mobile app, games development and website development. If not already held, you will be required to attain a teaching qualification within the College’s specified timescale. We are looking for someone who has experience of working in the Computing/IT industry/sector; either with software development/ hardware systems or both.
