Housing Officer (Management)
Part time post 18 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday all day and Wednesday mornings)
Salary £23,398 to £25,951 pro rata per annum (rising to £26,822 pro rata per annum after five years service) plus £840 Inner Fringe Allowance pro rata, per annum

We are looking for a person to join our current team of Housing Management staff responsible for managing the Council’s housing stock and land in the South of the District. The position is based at the Council’s Housing Office in The Limes Centre, Limes Farm, Chigwell.
You will be responsible for managing a “patch” of properties which would involve all the usual aspects of housing management including arrears recovery, tenancy matters, property inspections, estate inspections etc.
You would be working in a small team where initiative and flexibility are essential to ensure that the service is delivered effectively. The position involves working closely with the public and, therefore, requires someone who is a good communicator and who will show an enthusiasm and commitment towards a challenging yet rewarding position.
You will need to have a driving licence and own a car for which a casual car user allowance is paid.
