Electrical Technician - Field Based

We are currently recruiting for a leading renewable power generator and the largest generator from landfill gas in the UK. Infinis operate a portfolio of landfill gas plants across the UK.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Electrical Engineer. The Technician will be accountable for repairs and maintenance on all electrical plant associated with generating electricity.

Responsibilities

• Implement maintenance and breakdown strategies that optimise operational excellence
• Guided by the central planning Logistics Centre, plan and track day to day servicing maintenance and breakdown activities associated with LFG electricity generation
• Adopt best practice philosophy towards Safety, the Environment and Quality Management to deliver a professional outcome
• Optimise use of their skills, computing tools, vehicles, trade tools, equipment and training to carry out their duties
• Ensure that all activities are in line with Company procedures and policies
• Ensure that all activities comply with or exceed the requirements of legislation

Key skills and attributes

• Experience in installations, repairs, maintenance and plant modifications for electrical equipment, up to 33kV and to IEE 17th edition wiring standards
• Apprentice time served or uniformed forces type training
• Computer literate
• Clean driving licence
• Self-motivated and prepared to work alone
• Involves travel (regular, but not onerous)
• Heavy industry or forces maintenance experience necessary
• Experience with utilities or knowledge of landfill gas generating sets controls and general industrial plant electrics would be an added advantage
• Basic understanding of PLCs, process controls, flow/pressure/temperature instrumentation also an advantage

In return a basic salary of circa £33000 dependant on experience is on offer, you will also receive a company pension, fully stocked company van which is available for private usage and a discretionary bonus of up to 15%.
