Credit Manager - Private Development Team - Barnsley

A vacancy has arisen within our client's Credit Control department for a Credit Manager based in Barnsley head office to manage the private developer credit control team.

As a Credit Manager your key responsibilities will include:
• Controlling the collection of Key and non-Key accounts.
• Chasing payment from Surveyors as well as Accounts Departments.
• Preparing monthly applications for payments / valuations.
• Regular customer visits.
• Cash allocation.
• Credit checks.
• Account reconciliations.
• Managing a team of up to 12 Credit Controllers.
• Liaising with internal departments.
• Dealing with general queries.

As part of the role you may be required to perform other duties from time to time, as described by your immediate line manager.

You must be:
• Able to prioritise your own workload and that of others.
• Able to work under pressure to maintain deadlines.
• A reliable team player.
• Computer literate.

You will also have:
• Experience of working within credit control.
• Ideally knowledge of valuations and applications for payment.
• A confident telephone manner and strong communication skills at all levels.
• Working knowledge of Excel.
• A full driving licence.

As Credit Manager it would be useful to have:
• ICM qualification.
• Experience in the building sector.
